MIAMI -- Saturday Recap

There are so many story lines from today it's hard to keep track of them all. For one brilliant Saturday, the stars have aligned so perfectly it's almost an embarrassment of riches for Kansas State. This is what college football, and Snyder's doctrine of disciplined, sound, consistent football, is all about.

So let's take a pictorial tour around the horn to wrap up this incredible day for our #21 ranked (and moving up) Wildcats --

10:45 -- Willie gets the fans going on Harley Day.
10:59 -- KSU students with a fantastic #16 Goals tribute prior to kickoff.
11:00 - 12:30 Optimus Klein was unstoppable.
12:40 - Kansas State recognizes Erik Kynard,
Olympic silver medalist at halftime.
12:41 -- I finally download Instagram and turn out an award
winning photo on the first take.
12:52 -- K-State Mask spotted at BSFS.
1:02 pm on 03/08/2010 -- Michael Smith lands his biggest recruit.  Ever.
1:40 -- Daniel Sams #4 scores on his first carry of the game.
2:30 -- Rice defeats kansas at home because kansas seriously blows.
3:30 - Florida defeats A&M at home.
Gator cheerleaders say it all:  pity, mockery ... disgust.
6:02 -- Sacramento State beats Colorado and no one really cares
because it's Colorado.
8:30 -- Georgia defeats Missouri.  Because Missouri also blows.
And so do their ridiculous new uniforms.
8:45 -- These are still ridiculous.
9:30 -- The Bruins defeat the Huskers.
So, in summary of today's events:

Klein is still unstoppable and was nearly perfect aside from the behind the back pass to Harper Snyder actually called a time out to call. I suppose that would of made the Heisman highlight reel in NY later this year if they'd actually pulled that off.

Sams might be the fastest KSU QB in history. No, he is the fastest QB in KSU history. Current KSU stats -- Six carries. 108 yards. 3 TD's.

The College Football Gods declared this day to be Black Saturday for all of the defectors of the BigXII, slamming Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, and Missouri back to cold reality -- life is not going to be greener on the other side.

The Charlie Weis era at kansas is off to a thud with a humiliating loss to Rice. Somewhere Turner Gill is laughing.

KSU will likely move up several spots, if not into the top 15, with a dominating performance everyone in the nation was watching due to the early start.

A great day to be a Wildcat!
